Warren Platner

Warren Platner, a brilliant American architect and interior designer, caught my interest today on Dwell. Throughout his career, his accomplishments spanned from designing the World Trade Center's Windows on the World restaurant, the Pan Am Building and most famously, wire furniture for Knoll. Here is some of his work that I can't stop marveling at.

Platner described the interior of this Kansas City restaurant as "a huge lace Valentine". So very Sex and the City.

This image is from Platner's own home (circa 1970).

I think this hallway is GENIUS! Also from Platner's home, the brass-backed bench and library walls are modern and practical even today.

Dream workspace. Just sayin'.
