A World of Accessories

I've heard the name Nina Campbell many a time, but I had never visited her website until recently.

A client was all moved in and looking for finishing touches for several bathrooms in the house. Of course, this called for the glamorous task of hunting for everything from tissue box holders to toilet brushes....on to Google I went!

Restoration Hardware is always my go-to for this sort of thing, but their ensuites called for something more unique. Low and behold, Nina Campbell came through for me with her jewellry-esk collections:

Didn't this somewhat humbling search open up the world of Nina to me - accessories for the home, backyard, bathroom and office.

I'm a firm believer in designing a space in its entirety, not just selecting furniture and finishes and walking away. As much as I love to shop, sometimes these specific tasks are tedious and exhausting. But when a vision is well executed, and a fine balance between over-decorated and unfinished is achieved, it is no doubt design perfection. Toilet brush holder included.

One Sydney Road

One Sydney Road is an incredible housewares boutique that I've been wanting to blog about for far too long! I first discovered owner Piper's story on the inspiring Makeunder My Life series "Design Your Life". I followed her posts (she recorded her journey for 23 weeks!) as she made her dream of becoming a store owner a reality.


A self-described dreamer, Piper shared with great honesty that her creative good intentions were often squashed by something I can relate all too well with, fear. But her entrepreneurial spirit and love for great design eventually lead her to open up One Sydney Road just six months after her first post...and it's SO great! I was thrilled when I first visited her shop site...jewelry, bags, bowls, tea towels! Piper has selected gorgeous, original pieces to be part of One Sydney Road's shop. I can't help but admire someone who is not only so forthcoming and honest, but who has also followed her heart and pursued her dream!

The Finishing Touch

Despite stacks of magazines, hundreds of saved "favourites" and too many tear sheets to file, I am a big creature of habit and tend to revert to what is familiar. Arteriors Home is my hands-down favourite accessories, lighting and occasional furniture supplier. I first discovered them at work and have since used their products in countless school projects. Anything we've ordered at work has been beautiful and great quality. Now that I'm done school (well, one more class to finish) and will hopefully pick up a few side projects of my own, I hope to use more of their brilliant pieces!

Nothing grand. In fact, no theme at all. Just a few things I'm loving right now...

While I love colourful interiors, my wardrobe is 95% black and white. Hence this neutral trend is right up my alley - safe and easy to wear, but so sweet and fresh.
